Thing 1...

Shy is our oldest.
Shy is our "Thing 1".
Meet Shy...
Isn't he so handsome?

This evening was the annual Spring Concert for Shy's school (TIFECS).
Definitely "Happy Memories Journal" material...

Shy & Armani are biological siblings...we brought them home together.
So...like Armani (Thing 2), Shy did not have a nice "start" in life.

Unlike Armani, I knew Shy long before God brought us together as family.
He was our first "surprise" child. (Of our 4 boys...only one was planned.)

I love every bit of him.
Yes, even the bits that aren't very nice...because those bits are the best reminders that he has an aching heart.
An aching heart that needs his Mama's unconditional love.

BUT...as with all our children...sometimes frustration can get in the way of enjoyment.
I've been "slightly" frustrated recently.

Tonight...was nice.
Shy was so proud and so happy to have us all there!

He sat so nicely up on that stage...singing along at the top of his lungs.
Then...
He saw me in the audience (taking a massive amount of pictures)
And he yells,  "LOOK!! There's my MOM!"
Huge grin on his face.
Waving emphatically.
Sigh...oh how my heart swelled!

He loves me.
Despite all his pushing...he really does love his Mama.
It's nice to be reminded. (Especially so publicly)

It was a nice night...

(Go HERE to see more pics from this great night)

I love you Shy Mark Willey.
I am so proud to be your Mama.
Forever and ever...no matter what...kisses.

No...this is not turning into a personal BLOG.
