Rustic, Vintage with a Touch of Whimsy...

On Sept. 10, 2011 (9/10/11)...Joanna & Jeremy became Mr. & Mrs.
I was honored to share in their day as Reception Coordinator & Decorator.

When asked to describe the "vision" for their wedding they responded :
"Rustic, vintage with a touch of whimsy".

I hope the results met their expectaions..

The seating cards were hung with standard clothespins on a vintage "chicken wire" screen.

Table Center pieces consisted of random:

vintage books
mason jar candles
mason jar flower arrangements

Table numbers were hand stamped on die-cut gift tags

The Kiddie Table.

The "Sweetheart Table"

Burlap garland with hand painted muslin penants attached via safety pins.

P.S. I love you...

A fabulous Couple...

Favors...handmade carmel apples (by the bride and her bridesmaids) waiting on the dinner plates.

The recption was held at the barn of THE "Jersey Jerry" renowned apple famer from days past...
(who was amazing and lent many original barn artifacts as decor for the reception..including this vintage egg sorter)

Their arrival vehicle

The beverages were chilled in a vintage feeding trough, metal tins, and a metal wheel barrow...

Hot Beverages were served in hand stamped cups...
sporting their home states: NJ & KY

The dessert tables were covered with doilies of various sizes in lieu of table cloths...

Desserts were served throughout the evening...

...on vintage wire spools scattered throughy the barn.

The Cake table was constructed with vintage apple crates and an ice cream maker.

The Cake

It's all about the details.

Paper Wheels of ivory and newpapers decked the halls...

A stack of madlibs replaced the traditional guest book.

As the night worn guests chatted, danced , and toasted...

The newlyweds toasted with YooHoo, as their parents looked on...

It was a beautiful evening...wish you could have been there.

  3. Hi Tracey, Just came over from LDH's blog and loved her photos from the wedding, so had to come over and see more. What a fantastic job you did with the reception. I am a country girl at heart (and a grandmother, lol) and just love the rustic look in recptions. The use of doilies instead of tablecloth is beautiful. This should be in magazine. You are one very talented women. Blessings, Lynn
